James Gordon
 
James Gordon was born on February 17th 1888,  the son of Frederick Albert Gordon who lived in DL 472 Bk 4. In the summer of 1915 he visited the prairies and on the way back enlisted with the Canadian Infantry (Central Ontario Regiment) 54th Battalion. James was killed in action on November 18 1916. A memorial shield was placed at Summerland’s St. Andrew’s church . The shield reads; “Faithful unto death, in Loving Memory of My Friend, Private James Gordon, Killed in Action in France, November 18 1916, Issac Blair.” He is buried at the Adanac Military Cemetery, Somme France (Grave 11.J.24) (R#443464)
